Old City Shops To Be Kept Close For Tiranga Rally & FAQ’s: To express solidarity with “TIRANGA RALLY” held by the United Muslim Action Committee, the Old City Hyderabad Traders Association on Thursday declared that shops and businesses in the old city will remain closed on Friday.

Talking to the media at Media Plus Auditorium during a media conference on Thursday evening, the association announced that “all trade establishments and shops will be closed from 1 pm to 5 pm on Friday, January 10.” The rally is being organized on Friday, January 10. It will commence at 2 pm from Eid gah Mir Alam after Friday prayers there and progress to Sashtripuram Ground.

“The Tiranga Rally is being organized to protest against the black laws of CAA and proposed NPR and NRC which are unconstitutional and against the secular character of India. The voices which will be raised in the Save Constitution Rally will echo the mood of the country throughout the world”, the association leaders said.

Mr. Mehfooz Ahmed President, Vice President Mohammed Akbar, Secretary Abid Moizuddin, and executive members Shakeel Ahmed Siddiqui, Irfan Sayani also spoke.

The old city of Hyderabad is a business hotspot for textiles, clothing, jewelry, furnishing, kitchenware, footwear among many other thriving trades.
